My name is Chris Chiacchierini. I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. I was 38 years old when I started the 1,001 Miles and am now 39 years old. I live in Portland, OR with my wife and two boys (by the end of the 1,001 miles, or June more specifically, it will be either three boys or two boys and one girl). I have a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a MFA from Eastern Washington University. I am employed as the Director of Campus Operations and Technology at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. My hobbies include running, following Seattle Mariners baseball and Notre Dame football, hiking and camping, web design and smoking meat.
